Early Lead For Jo Byrns Seals Fate For Yellow Jackets

Yellow Jackets watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-0 loss to Jo Byrns on Monday. Jo Byrns scored on a single by Jacob Miller, an error, and a walk by Preston Van Dyke in the first inning.

The Yellow Jackets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Jo Byrns, giving up ten runs.

Jo Byrns opened up scoring in the first inning. Miller singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Yellow Jackets was a single by Devon Crenshaw in the second inning.

Taylor Head got the win for Jo Byrns. He allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Crenshaw took the loss for Yellow Jackets. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out three.

Crenshaw led Yellow Jackets with two hits in two at bats.

Head went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Jo Byrns in hits. Jo Byrns didn't commit a single error in the field. Trey Quzck had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
