Yellow Jackets Can't Quite Erase 5-Run Deficit In Loss To Sycamore

Despite a 5-run deficit in the first inning, Yellow Jackets almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-4 to Sycamore on Friday. Yellow Jackets scored three runs on a double in the second inning.

Yellow Jackets fell behind early in the loss. Sycamore scored on a single by Jack Murray, a walk by Elijah Haskins, a single by Reece Goff, and a walk by Dakota Dodd in the first inning.

Sycamore opened up scoring in the first inning, when Murray singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Yellow Jackets scored four runs in the second inning. Seth Snyder had an RBI double in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Austin Morris took the win for Sycamore. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six.

Aiden Tucker took the loss for Yellow Jackets. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out one.

Haskins started the game for Sycamore. He surrendered four runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two

SnyderTucker, and Terrance Cross all had one hit to lead Yellow Jackets.

Goff led Sycamore with two hits in three at bats. Sycamore didn't commit a single error in the field. Murray had the most chances in the field with nine.
