Greenbrier Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Yellow Jackets watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 19-3 loss to Greenbrier on Wednesday. Greenbrier scored on a single by Braxton Laney, a walk by Brady Knepper, a triple by Jacob Conquest, a walk by Lakin Wooden, a double by Laney, and a double by Trent Miller in the first inning.

The Yellow Jackets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Greenbrier, giving up 19 runs.

Greenbrier got things started in the first inning when Laney singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Conquest earned the win for Greenbrier. He surrendered one run on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Laney and JT McGliuckey entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Seth Snyder took the loss for Yellow Jackets. He allowed three hits and seven runs.

Terrance CrossSnyderDevon CrenshawHayden Reynolds, and Travies Jones all had one hit to lead Yellow Jackets.

Greenbrier racked up 14 hits. LaneyConquestWoodenMiller, and Dalton Wilbur each racked up multiple hits for Greenbrier. Laney led Greenbrier with three hits in three at bats.
